THE APPLICATION PROCESS
We are committed to nurturing and supporting you throughout your Leeds Trinity journey – from the moment you apply for your place, until long after you graduate. We understand that no two students are the same, so we welcome students with a range of qualifications and will personalise our offer to you.
How to apply
Applications for Foundation Year, BA, BSc and LLB undergraduate degrees at Leeds Trinity University are made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Apply online through the UCAS website: ucas.com/apply
UCAS may also be used by those applying independently in the UK and overseas. Applications for part-time study should be made directly to Leeds Trinity (not via UCAS). Please contact the Admissions team on 0113 283 7123 or email admissions@leedstrinity.ac.uk for more information.
When to apply
UCAS can start receiving applications for autumn 2024 entry from 1 September 2023, however we won’t start reviewing applications until October. The main application deadline is 31 January 2024, but we will still be open to applications after this date for most courses. You’ll give yourself the best possible chance if you apply as early as possible once you’ve decided on your course. Please visit ucas.com for the latest information on application deadlines.
UCAS does accept that some applicants will need to apply later than the January deadline (especially from outside the UK, in which case the closing date is 30 June 2024). UK late applications are processed by UCAS until 30 June 2024 and we will continue to consider them where possible. Application forms received by UCAS after 30 June 2024 will be held for Clearing.
Personal statement
When you apply via UCAS you will need to include a personal statement. We offer advice and support on writing your personal statement, including a personal statement feedback service. For details, visit leedstrinity.ac.uk/undergraduate/apply/personal-statement
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate courses
Leeds Trinity University has a minimum entry requirement for all undergraduate courses which you must have satisfied by the time you take up your place. You usually need to have a minimum of five qualifications; at least two of which must be full A-Levels (or equivalent Level 3 qualifications) and must include GCSE English Language (or equivalent qualification). For some programmes either GCSE English Language or Literature will be accepted.
In addition to this, your other qualifications may carry UCAS tariff points which may contribute to the total number of points required to meet an offer, the details of which will be included in any offer made. Some courses may also require additional GCSEs.
Foundation Year
Typically, our entry offer for a Foundation Year is 48 or 64 UCAS points from at least one full A-Level and GCSE English Language (or equivalent qualifications). For some programmes either GCSE English Language or Literature will be accepted. Some courses may also require additional GCSEs.
Full details of the minimum entry requirements for each programme are available at leedstrinity.ac.uk or ucas.com.
Special consideration
We will give special consideration to those applicants where academic achievement has been gained in difficult personal or educational circumstances, including applicants who have been in care over the past three years, applicants who have care responsibilities, applicants who are members of the Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, Showmen and Boater community and applicants with refugee status.
UCAS tariff points
The entry requirements are listed for each course as a UCAS tariff range. Additional course-specific entry requirements, such as GCSEs, are available at leedstrinity.ac.uk. Please check the individual requirements for your course before applying.
